Libs have been whining for some time that most of the states that are net takers from the federal government, states that get more in federal benefits than they pay in taxes, are red states. And that most of the states that pay in more than they get back are blue states.

I'm guessing that most of those most solvent states are net takers. Sure sounds like a smart way to run a state to me. For some reason, a lot of libs are proud of being net payers. Dumb.

Well us liberals have compassion for those helpless ones who can't stand on their own two feet and support themselves.:D

And you don't even appreciate it. :(

But I guess welfare queens can always rationalize their taking and taking and taking.

As always, have a splendid evening and a better tomorrow.

I didn't say I approved of it, I just pointed out the irony that the liberals who whine about the problem are the ones who created the problem. :p

I thought the following article statement pretty much sums it up, and it is especially true for Government.

**************************

The bottom line is that the more money the state government takes from taxpayers, the worse it handles it.

NJ is the worst? Doesn't surprise me. After all, I'd bet we have more illegal aliens, welfare recipients, and other drags on social benefits per capita than any other state. I've lived here my entire life. My house is on the market and I can't wait to get the hell out of here.

This ship has been sinking for some time now, and I don't want to go down with it.

Anyone want to move to a town that's 42% illegal aliens?

Didn't think so.

Truer words were never spoken. Not to mention, the more they get, the more they want. Here in Tennessee, they had a $2 Billion budget surplus and just RAISED the gas tax, 6 cents per gallon. And, no, it wasn't a Democrat Gov. We have a Republican Governor and a Republican run State house. They are all alike.

Hey NJStinks. We're number 1!

Long time no see, TBRED! Hope all is well with you!

Now I have to set a few things straight about me and New Jersey.

1. I started with NJ Stinks a long time ago when NJ steadfastly refused to allow ADWs to operate in the state. I was also still pissed we missed our chance at sports betting back in the '90's when Whitman was governor. I keep the name now so people like TBred17Roan will know it's me no matter what horseracing chat room we're in. (TBred17Roan and I met in tbredforum.com if anybody else remembers that forum.)

2. New Jersey brought in an ADW in late 2004. And the state has been fighting to get sports betting for about 5 years now or so it seems. And in a moment I'm most proud of, the voters of this great state passed a referendum to allow sports betting in casinos and racetracks in 2011 with almost 2/3's of the residents voting in favor!

The only three states I would consider moving to on the list Ralph posted are Maryland, Illinois, and California. Florida was a candidate but their disregard for sensible gun laws, liberal beliefs, and greyhound racing has cost them tourist dollars not to mention another possible in state taxpayer.

But really, I have no intention to leave New Jersey. There's a lot to love about living here including being close to Philly and NYC; the Jersey shore; the international airport options; the racecourses; and, of course, the pride I share with the vast majority of my fellow New Jerseyans.:ThmbUp:

I was also pissed at NJ at the time because I don't think the NJ Racing Commission did a damn thing to try to save Garden State Park. All they cared about was Monmouth and the Meadowlands as far as I was concerned.

Apparently poisoning the water of citizens isn't part of the criteria. Nice poll. Especially if the governor is Republican. Fair and balanced.

There is no State tax in Florida

There is no State tax in Floridathere is some type of an asset based tax there and they have a state wide sales tax as well. the property taxes are fairly high as well and Florida is basically an unhealthy place to live that has warm weather in the winter time.
