Anyway, PM Friday night has the G3 Iowa Derby. A couple of these horses even ran in the Kentucky Derby! :p

Being from the Cornhusker state I share in your excitement with this weekends races! I'm really hoping I can make it tomorrow to watch Maragh and Dolphus in the Cornhusker. Just got off work but I'll play along.

R7 first glance says :2: Girl Power should have the speed and familiarity with the course to win this. Good luck!

Ok, it may well be only $25K, but this is a good field of 6 fillies and mares.

:2: Girl Power has won by 9+ lengths in her last 2 starts. :3: Peppy Miller is stakes company worthy and the :7: Steel Cut is a multiple stakes winner.

With all that said, I'm all over the 2nd effort of the :4: as a 4YO.

Don't see all that much speed in here for the :2:, and thus the :6: could turn some of that table needed to beat her.

:5: is an all or nothing sort, and don't see her winning this, and thus the :7:. Could, maybe even should, be 4/5. But still beatable. :)

As my great friend Clint Eastwood once said: "If I'd had good discipline, I might have gone into music.".

IN the end, I think a lot of these horses are pure garbage. I see the :1::3::8: as having upside, and even wagerable. :8: Line Judge at 40-whatever to 1 in his 2nd start as a 3YO is ridiculous.
