Belmont, Sunday Race 5.

Non Stop takes a bad step and is apparently in a bad way but the "jockey," one Francisco Arrieta, attempts to gallop him out. Shortly thereafter, another set of bad steps occurs and he bails out while far behind the field and lets the poor horse to fend for himself-he ends up being corralled past the finish line by the outrider.

This "jockey" had every opportunity to pull this horse up after the initial problem...and instead lets him go on for an additional 2-3 furlongs. Maybe he makes it, maybe he doesn't, but this guy showed he has little clue as to what he is doing, and his 2 for 162 lifetime record backs that up.

While this is not as bad as that jockey a while back who galloped a lame horse back to the winners circle, incidents like this truly show where general horsemanship pays off. Poor horse deserved a better fate.
