"Scientists’ warnings that the rise of the sea would eventually
imperil the United States’ coastline are no longer theoretical.

Now, those warnings are no longer theoretical: The inundation of the coast has begun. The sea has crept up to the point that a high tide and a brisk wind are all it takes to send water pouring into streets and homes.

“I’m a Republican, but I also realize, by any objective analysis, the sea level is rising,” said Jason Buelterman, the mayor of tiny Tybee Island, one of the first Georgia communities to adopt a detailed climate plan.

In 2013, scientists reached a consensus that three feet was the highest plausible rise by the year 2100. But now some of them are starting to say that six or seven feet may be possible."

Since the end of the little ice age, the oceans have been rising at about 9" per century. No acceleration found even in the last 15-20 years. That means we have about 7-8" to go yet this century. Completely normal. Please stop hyperventilating. It accomplishes nothing and only makes you look like a fool.

if that's what it's going to take to remove California from the U.S. we need to all start pissing in the ocean to help it out.

Happened before.
Will happen again.

They have a word for it....the environment.
It changes, the continents move around, collide, cause Earthquakes and tsunamis...... Johnny Carson once remarked "Good news! The mud slides are putting out the forrest fires."

It's a jungle out there.
Move inland. Duh.

what's with these new islands showing up off the carolina's or something like that? have to look into that just saw a blurb about it. the Atlantic must be going down in level. Maybe the Pacific is robbing it.
