California apprentice started off slow when he came to America, but has really made some improvements and is riding as well as anyone in California right now.

His ride in the 10th today, from the 12 hole to get 2nd was a thing of beauty. You don't see Hall of Famers ride with that much finesse.

I agree. I bet him to WS in the race. This kid the last 3 weeks especially has impressed me.

Agree with you guys. I remember his first couple of weeks had a few rides that were just plain dangerous. But he's made great strides. Having solid barns support you is a big help too.

That was a world class ride the kid gave in the 6th. Got his horse involved early because of the track and outrode a journeyman late.

Makes up for getting caught at wire in 5th. ;)

Hard to believe considering your prior posts, but wrong again. Watch the replay. He gets the horse involved early. He's pushing him early to establish position. If he doesn't, the horse doesn't win, plain and simple.
