Yes. It is arguable. Some may even say this is THE best card of the year even including the Fri/Sat Breeder's Cup races. Others may well just harrumph this entire card saying it is overrated.
To each their own, but from my viewpoint, I see greatness abound with 9 Graded Stakes races, including 6 Grade 1s.
We also see a whole bevy of wagering opportunities.
Starting with Race 3 (1st Graded Stakes Race, the G2 Brooklyn), we have the normal Ex, Trifecta ($.50), Superfecta ($.10) and Doubles wagering available. We also kick off a $250K Guaranteed P3.
R4, R5 are the same without the $250k guaranteed P3 pool.
R6, we kick off the $500K guaranteed P6. Keep in mind, this is a $1 wager, and not the normal $2 wager.
R7 we get the normal wagers, along with a Grand Slam wager for races 7-10
R8 we get the late $1.5 Million guaranteed P4 ($.50)
R9 we get the normal wagers
R10 toss in the late P4 of Races 10-13 amid normal wagers
R11 Belmont Stakes, the end of many wagers along with other normal wagering
Soooo..., with all that in mind, what are your wagering strategies? Any particular plays you are really interested in? Daymakers? Keys? Horses you have to play?
Win or lose, should be a great day of racing. Bring it on!
