He did something to Ray Fosse for no good reason except because he has no concept of right and wrong.

I vote no.

So you vote no because the guy played TOO hard?

I voted no because the guy ruined another player's career because he's a jerk.

Jerks don't get my vote as a rule.

Yes.

Why did you bring an 11 plus year old thread back to life when there is already a debate taking place in the sports section on this topic that you're involved in?

Maybe SRU felt sorry for Chickenhead's topic not getting any responses, which is a bit of a mystery in and of itself....

Better yet, how did he find and know about the thread since there was only one post on it 11 years ago. :D

I guess then there are a ton of people in the various Hall of Fames that should get booted.

Being soft boned ruined the guys career, if you don't want to get run over dont block the plate.

If the hall of nice guys is ever looking for a voter, ill let them know you're available.

Paging Dr. SRU. You mean Ray Fosse was "soft-boned"? You mean the same Ray Fosse that played in 8 more seasons after colliding with Pete in the 1970 All Star game?

You're right. Don't block the plate, even in an exhibition game.

Hey, I thought Chickenhead deserved an answer. :)

I wasn't expecting a tidal wave of high fives when I posted mine.

To me, the HOF is about baseball, not about character flaws off the field. I don't care if players drink, womanize, get high etc... so why should I care if they gamble on the sport they know best.

Definite Yes.

While we are at it, so should Shoeless Joe. The guy was illiterate. He had no idea what he was signing and had an incredible world series. No way he dumped.
