best sports book....WESTGATE the old hilton off the stripI haven't been there yet this century, but my first time i step foot there was in 1972 when there was plenty of vacant lots up and down Las Vegas Blvd. i almost went there for the opening of The Wynn Hotel which used to be the Dessert Inn. i used to play in golf tournaments in back of the DI, it was the nicest course around. i decided to hold off going there until the next century!

Did they require a DNA swab, fingerprints, retina eye scans and blood/urine samples as well as SS number and phone numbers of next of kin to park?

and how Vegas has grown!

Boy ain't that the truth. When I first got our to CA in the early/mid 90s. I used to go to Vegas every chance I got. My favorite casinos were Caesar's Palace and the Rio. For a cheap beer I would walk across the street to O'Shea for a dollar beer and a foot long hotdog.

On my way moving back to the Midwest, I stopped by Caesars to see how things had changed. For the most part it was the same with the exception of the poker room and the revised sports book. One thing that struck me was that despite that at one time you could see Caesars from the interstate from several miles as you drove into Vegas. With all the new construction, you could not see Caesars until you were almost right next to it. FYI - I did not have to pay for parking at Caesars. I knew their parking lot well - many was the time I slept in my car in the Caesars's parking lot when I couldn't get a room.

The Raiders called time and kicked the field goal to land 10. i was sick but at least i didn't lose.
