I'd be surprised if there were even three horses in the Derby in that time frame with a first career start at Laurel. Laurel has had a bit of a resurgence lately but the quality was lacking for quite a while before that.

I've got a better one for you. I haven't checked this myself, but someone said that ever since CD implemented their new point system, the ML favorite has won. We also got the first TC winner in 40 years.

I just went back .... from 2000-2016 ...only 3 horses that started in the derby had the first race of career at Laurel park ...

Not sure there is another way to state that bro ... If you don't get it ...it's cool ...not a big deal bro ...
