Until one of them hits the board, I'm tossing completely. Every year we hear "Well yeah BUT THIS horse is better than the last 3 UAE horses to come over." Second verse, same as this first. Hear it every year. If I get beat and have to tear up my trifecta tickets so be it. Until they finally send one over that finishes ITM I won't even spend the time to cap them. This one won't be on any of my tickets.

I don't think he's all that special to begin with. Japanese horse might have beat him with a better ride. I guess I have him with the "all others" exacta box wagers in Future pools 1-3. Good enough.

His DI and dosage line and CD suggest that he is a a major contender if he is in the 2nd pack of the race.. idk, is this horse even going to come here? i would thinka an announcement is soon.

I don't care what his record or pedigree says. For whatever reason, prepping overseas does not work out well for the Kentucky Derby.

Well said, the transport and quarantine takes its toll. They need to move the UAE Derby earlier in the year to get these horses ready for the KD.

Not a fan of his high knee action, you can really see it at the 400m mark on to the wire. He will be working harder than others through the stretch.

However, he beat a decent one in Epicharis and the time was ok (fastest in Medyan dirt era) he would still need to improve and if he's gonna race he should already be here.

I don't understand why they don't give them a week to recover then fly over here that would give him 5 weeks to acclimatize and get through the quarantine protocol.

I think the fact that he stayed on the wrong lead for the length of the stretch made this more pronounced. It seemed to me, when he made that bobble near mid-stretch he was trying to change leads, then thought against it and went back to the wrong lead.

Colt did show gameness in pressing on and grinding the win against what I think is a nice colt in Epicharis. If he learns to change leads correctly he probably runs clear in that race. The Derby is never a good schooling race for horses with problems though...

Also I think he will be up against it coming in so late for the Derby. I am not sure why Epicharis is not running, love the Sunday Silence influence in his breeding. I read their is a chance he comes for the Preakness or Belmont.
