Except, you could put in 2 furlongs, subtract the 1st call from the 2nd call, adjust for lengths back and lanes wide, and see MPH for far turn middle moves in sprints. That may, or may not, tell you something, now and then, in isolated circumstances.

Sometimes it's hard to pick out horses, in replays, on the far turns. This might help give a capper some idea how well the horse was moving in that far turn.
