I never hesitate to complain about DRF, so I have to be fair and admitt that I have finally downlaoded F4. I waited unitl I got my new second computer up and runnig so that if it screwed up everything, I would not lose too much time re-installing everything.
But in fact, it loaded fine and works great, a really impressive tool. I especially like the way you can look up all the horses in the race, see what they have done since that last race, sort real time key races. I like to be able to see the actual pps of past winners by a trainer on a patter I am looking into.
F4 is really very good and I am glad I decided to try it out.
Tip o' the wig to Drf.

Now that I’ve picked myself up off of the floor, (after considering the source of that glowing testimonial :D) my first question is do you think you will be using it on a regular basis?
I haven’t tried it yet or seen it in action.
Question for Dan Montilion: Have you given it a test drive yet?

No, no regular usage planned. Maybe a few weekend cards, for a track I am playing all the races. Trainers are not my cup of tea-don't like to waster a lot of time on trainer pattern (ducking here so fffast can't hit me with a rock! lol) but my impression of a 40% trainer is he loses 60% of the time. And I will be betting into that 60 every time. But I do like to use the stats to maybe givce myself a reason to go further back for a paceline on a horse, or to check out the key races which F4 is smooth doing.
But I had to be fair - I do like the progam. Just avaoid the Tomlinsons and I guess until they figure that glitch out.

Yes I have given it a spin. But just to bore you first, during the time I used it I knew I was winding down and headed for some time off and a circuit move from northern California. So I don't think I used every bell and whistle 4.0 had to offer. I did feel it was a super tool though I'm debating weather I will move away from the old print and log in notebook trainer work. Clearly what 4.0 has available could allow me to toss the printing of the win PP's for a trainer profile but there is something more urgent and easier to put to memory with the hands on method. So I'm still toying with how to approach this part of the workload upon my return to the pari-mutuel battle. With that said I will use 4.0 files for sure, the chart records and trainer stats will come in handy, especially with shippers. So I guess this is a answer that is still a work in progress.

Dan,
Thanks a lot. I’m wrestling with some similar issues.
