Fast and Accurate led from the 3/8ths after stalking a decent pace.
Then he virtually walked home a last 3f that took almost 41 seconds to cover. The winner was also drifting out in the lat 100 yds.
I am not giving this horse much of a chance at Churchill Downs.
Looked to me like Fast and Accurate hit a wall after 8.5 furlongs.

I looked at that race after the fact. Perhaps a case could have been made for Fast and Accurate being part of the tri or super, but in the win slot I wasn't seeing it. I thought Blueridge Traveler was a deep closer that benefited from saving ground every step of the way, just picking up some pieces when the race was breaking down.

I agree. This race has no significance for the Derby.

The winner's 82 Beyer isn't going to attract much attention, seems to me.

Is there any type of adjustment applied to races on poly?
Or do the Beyer figs speak for themselves?

And it the realm of people with too much money the owner will be supplementing him to the Derby for $200K.
