on todays first race with over 2 1/2 to go, there are 2 horses bet so far. one has over $8000 the other over $4000. between the 2 that's about $13k. they usually do under $20k for their first race in the win pool.

more crazy action at Will Rodgers first race as well. there are 2 horses bet for over $4000 each an hour before the race.

Strange indeed. We'll see if they wind up with less money on them in the final pool compared to what it is now. Might be good bets anticipating it will scare off more action and they'll be a large cancellation late.

I wonder if there's two whales (instead of one) now trying to manipulate the pools?

First one makes a bet on the horse he wants.

Second one makes a (bigger) bet on a different horse.

First guy goes "WTF?"

Be interesting to see how this plays out.

I think I'll put 25 bucks on each horses with the large amounts. If you can't beat em join em.

I saw that and expected the money to be removed late, but it wasn't, and it didn't win.
