Conquest Mo Money is a horse that has excellent breeding. His first five dam sires are all way above average broodmare sires: Seeking The Gold--Deputy Minister, Buckpasser, Northern Dancer, and Mahmoud. So far he is undefeated in three starts and picked up 60,000 with his win Saturday in the Mine That Bird Derby at Sunland Park.

Interestingly, he went for ONLY 8,500 dollars at the Keenland yearling sales. With breeding like he has he must have had quite a few confirmation faults or something else wrong with him. Anybody know the details concerning his meager yearling price.

Actually, as a 2yo he sold for $8,500. A year before, as a yearling, he sold for $180,000. Quite a drop-off, though he was part of a large dispersal (Conquest Stables). He was unraced at the time he was sold late last year, but likely in full training, as he made his debut only a few weeks later for the new connections. Does not run in front wraps according to the race charts.

Brief video of the colt from October on this sales page.
