RACE 2 PRX 2/20 DYNASMART

This horse shows a win, and was entered in a 40,000 MCL. This pps are wrong, or the racing office made a huge error, or there was a dq that did not show up or a drug positive etc. It did run.

Does anyone have any idea what happened here?

Equibase shows a 10th place finish (last) on Dec 31, indicating the horse lost the purse on a drug violation. However, there is nothing in the Brisnet past performances to corroborate this. The DRF past performances, however, show "disqualified from purse money". John Servis is the trainer, unusual...

The trainer John Servis who was also the trainer of Smarty Jones & generally seems well liked has had some problems with over medication, particularly at Pha. He claims that someone else is doing it. My guess is the horse tested positive and was DQ'd but it's not showing in the past performances.
Given his powerful win on Dec 31st, he should have dusted this field. He finished far back and wasn't even aggressively bet, so maybe medication was involved with his win.

Strangely enough, another horse in the race, the Robert Reid-trained Scherzo, is facing winners for the first time despite never having finished first in a race. He is coming off a second-place finish to Dynasmart in a maiden claiming race at Parx Racing on Dec. 31. The past performance lines say that Scherzo was awarded first money in that race.

Dynasmart, who was disqualified after testing positive for DMSO, is trained by John Servis, the trainer of Hashtag Alex.
