The "Emolument" Clause

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”

I would like to propose an amendment to Article 1, Section 9, clause 8 of the Constitution to include, after the word “Emolument,” the following phrase: “Nor shall the President and/or the Vice-President and their respective families engage in business, corporate, or the-like enterprises while in service to the United States of America.”

Every Teacher I know would stand and defend their opinions. Teach just hits and runs. It is like he forgot, he made the post altogether. Learn something new everyday.

That is a good idea - presidents should have kids that are not allowed to work - let them travel the world and stay in the finest resorts ... ala Michelle and family..
