I hope they nail these security drips and toss them into a pit of vipers. The sneaks should feel right at home with the snakes.

....might be the White House leak ? Or be the most likely to be the person(s) ?

Rumors are that the leaks came from the "Deep State". Or was that Deep Throat? No, he died, never mind.

Deep State is the newest conspiracy theory, referring to the higher up career people in the government who are not political appointees, and stay in their positions when the administration changes.

Rumors are that the leaks came from the Deep State intelligence community, which is said to still be largely controlled by NeoCons left over from the Bush era. Flynn had known intentions of cleaning house in intelligence, and therefore Deep State got rid of him.

Lots of stories on the web about it, including The Hill:
http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/the-administration/319394-with-flynn-resignation-the-white-house-shadow-warriors
and Zero Hedge:
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-02-14/its-over-folks-neocons-deep-state-have-neutered-trump-presidency (http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-02-14/its-over-folks-neocons-deep-state-have-neutered-trump-presidency)

The Zero Hedge article makes for especially juicy conspiracy theory drama, saying that the Neocons got Trump to back down and get rid of Flynn, leaving Trump surrounded by NeoCons like Mattis and Pence as well as the Deep State.

Let me see now if I've got this right.

When the e-mails of Podesta were leaked, the Democrats were not concerned with content.
They were concerned with the very idea that private information had been hacked and they blamed Russia.

Now, an American Spy Agency has somehow leaked private information on General Flynn when he was a private citizen in December.
But the Democrats are now focussing on the content of the information and showing no concern about the invasion of Privacy of Mr. Flynn when he was a private citizen.

What a curious bunch of hypocrites that they are proving to be.

I think this theory is very likely to be correct.

The specifics of who they are and how they operate are above our pay grade, but almost certainly each administration puts some people in place that are loyal to them and there are always political differences between agencies and within agencies.

Trump has been picking public fights with the IC and his "let's work with Russia" views can't be sitting to well with the war mongering neocons and leftovers from the cold war.

I think the Deep State concept is generally correct, and that it is much wider spread than just the intelligence community. Just to name a few, there are clearly a lot of people at the EPA who are not happy with the way things are shaping up with this administration. The same must be true about people at HHS who worked on ObamaCare and at Education who are having nightmares about Betsy DeVos. The question is what are the career people in place going to do about policy changes they oppose.

The question is what are the career people in place going to do about policy changes they oppose.

In normal times politicians try to persuade public opinion so a reasonable compromise can be made. But right now the left is literally off the rails and in desperate need of high doses of anti depressants and Xanax. They are so used to winning and were so sure they were going to win this time, at this stage they are literally a bunch of crazed subversive enemies of the state. There is an all out assault of spin, bias, lies, and attack being fed to the public in an attempt to bring Trump down. Parts of the IC and rest of the government (including even republicans) are working with them. Stuff that would be overlooked if it was Obama is being portrayed like end of the world stuff.

One, it's a bit scary.

Two, I am beginning to hate the media and even citizens like that fairly passionately. They are idiots and scumbags.

We have some serious problems and these dimwits are trying to derail what is probably our last shot of cleaning the mess up and avoiding an economic debacle. I don't like everything Trump wants to do. I am more of a Rand Paul guy. But I still want him to be successful. The idea is to move him from where he is to something that is more palatable to most people. That's the way it has always been and that's the way it should be now.

I consider CNN, the NY Times, the WaPo etc... to be literal enemies of America and far more dangerous than a guy like Putin with his GDP approximately equal to the GDP of New York.

Just protecting their turf.

The Deep State is a particularly nasty aspect of a larger problem, that being the 4th branch of government. The 4th branch is the administrative branch, the bureaucrats and career employees who run the day to day operations of the government. It has grown exponentially of late, as the size and scope of government has grown beyond the ability of Congress to regulate and beyond the ability of the executive to manage.

The inability of the politicians of either party to understand it, let alone manage it, feeds into it and makes the problem worse. And it has led to the growth of lobbyists, many of whom understand and influence the very small part of the administrative branch that affects them and their clients much better than the people who are supposedly running the government.

Calm down JR, you have the lefty's reaching for the KY jelly and forming circles. Remember that the United States Secret Service is also a cross section of our society. By now Trump has made Richard Milhous Nixon proud, people will be outed. Today's technology has everyone naked with no place to hide, Flynn was but the first to get caught inside a net. Look for President Trump to win big.

If he didn't have an R next to his name, you'd never know he was supposed to be a republican. Same thing with Lindsey Graham.

I'd like to propose a trade:

The republicans send McCain and Graham to the democrats in exchange for Joe Manchin and a senator to be named later.

Nobody needs obstructionists in their own party.
