“Untermenschen” (inferior). That’s the word that the Nazis used when referring to people of Slavic blood.

Yet, in August, 1939, the world was set on its collective heals when just a little over a week before the Nazis invaded Poland, Germany and the Soviet Union signed a non-aggression agreement called the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Secret protocols attached to this pact defined Eastern European spheres of influence for both Germany and the Soviet Union.

The Soviets were no fools. They knew an attack on their country was just a matter of time. In 1934, just five years before the treaty was enacted, Hitler had talked about an inescapable battle against Pan-Slavism and Neo-Slavism, i.e., Russia.

Yet, this was a quid pro quo. Germany wasn’t yet ready for a two-front war. They also needed Soviet war machinery. The Soviets, on the other hand, had seen “the handwriting on the wall”. Joseph Stalin was no fool. He was a man who was full of intrigue. Stalin was as scheming as any leader in history of the world. He was stalling for time, and I might add, added territory.

At this point, in the late-1930s, Stalin was looking for assurances from Britain and France that in the likelihood of a Nazi attack on the Soviet Union, Germany and France would aid the Soviets. France, being a state in continental Europe, was amenable to working out an agreement with the Soviets, but not the British. Thus, an unholy alliance was signed by two, heretofore, ideological arch-enemies.

Well, on June 22, 1941 all of this became moot as the Nazis began their invasion (Operation Barbarossa) of the Soviet Union.

Yet, in more modern times, that old adage: “Politics Can Make Strange Bedfellows” still rings true. For the life of me, I can’t see why POTUS is cozying up to Vladimir Putin. I don’t care if he promises to help us with ISIS. An association with Putin is like making a deal with the devil.

In my opinion (others much more important than me have expressed the same sentiments), Putin is a killer. He’s running a “criminal oligarchy.” He’s former KGB operative. He’s ruthless. Cunning. Byzantine. He’s the scorpion in the animal fable: “The Scorpion and The Frog”. He is not to be trusted. He has his own agenda.

Moreover, I do hope that President Trump will weigh carefully any possible benefits an association with Putin would bring against the serious harm that this man can do to The United States of America, Europe and the rest of the world.

Finally, I believe, as we speak, Putin sees The United States as “weak and inferior”. I further believe his aim is destroy us, thus giving him a free hand to take over Eastern Europe, just as his predecessor, Joseph Stalin, had conspired to do.

Putin saw Obama as "weak and inferior."
It is very doubtful that he sees Trump and The United States that way.

Other than western media propaganda, what specific evidence do you have that Putin is a killer?
Yes, there have been poisonings of various political opponents, but I have yet to see any specific evidence directly linking them to Putin.

allah Akbar is what radical muslims yell before they kill non-believers.

Joining Russia to eliminate these killers is a good idea to eradicate them from this earth.

I didn't read all that, but it appears to be some conspiracy theory based on WWII history proving that Trump is selling out to Putin.

And the current evidence for that is some random midnight tweets from Trump and an interview with the biggest blowhard on Fox, Bill O'Reilly.

OMG, the sky is falling.

The biggest joke about all of this is that liberals simultaneously believe that Trump is the biggest liar in the world and that everything he says is actually going to happen and destroy the country. :D

Trump is an oligarch, no doubt about it, so is Putin...the ideal of Communism was never effected (the disappearance of the State), Lenin installed the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, read DICTATORSHIP....TO TAKE THEM TO THAT PLACE....that never arrived, that was always just a cover used by western oligarchs to supplant the Russian Imperial Throne, enslave or liquidate the population, and take control and exploit Mother Russia's wealth and natural resources....

...Western Capitalistic and Banking Interests became involved in a big way when oil reserves were exploited in Baku....Communism was not a Russian invention, but was imposed upon Mother Russia by Western Capitalistic Interests for the express purpose of plundering the country, destroying the Imperial Crown, and Destroy its Orthodox Religion...

Comparing the world today and it's leaders to that of 70 of years ago offers few similarities. The players and stakes weren't alike at all.
