Picks for Del Mar Saturday:
R3 #9 Woody Haze-Very good NoCal trainer has been doing an excellent job with this runner. Won on this turf course last year. Worktab has been solid and steady. Should be a decent price.
R6 #5 Musical Chimes-Has been knocking heads with the best in SoCal, including males in her last two. She is the best horse in this field, and should be 4/5 against these. Anything above 6/5 will probably get some of my money.
R7 #10 Elusive Aussie-May be the speed of the speed in here. Showed some grit last time when battling inside on a fast pace. Draws outside of the other anticipated speed here and may be able to open up some daylight on the turn. Espinoza a capable rider on speed horses.
