Late first post today. 4PM PDT.

I'm slowly settling into shape here!

R1
JOE ON THE AISLE reportedly outworked BARRY THE LAW (Race 2) in a team
drill. TELLMEITSNOTSO gets the package: He Drops, adds Lasix and adds Blinkers.
A couple speed drills since raced should have him primed. However, he will have
to hold off SERRA LEE TRAIL who has run decent everytime. He drops and gets
a few pounds off with Ruis. AIZARUNNER should be legged up after the 6f effort.
SOME BOLD STYLE comes back from Pleasanton with the same fishy circumstance
that SOME BOLD THRILL (Race 1 yesterday) had. All of this is my way of saying,
"Hang loose!"

R2
OLY'S OAK ran decent in debut and has speed. Smitty takes the call. COASTAL
STRIKE has trained well and Kent takes off OLY to ride here. Sise used to be better
with firsters than his recent stats show. EL PERFECTO had decent works prior to
the debut and shows a nice 6f work since raced - BTL? BEAU fired his best shot
two races back and then regressed. Maybe he's coming back around (maybe he
isn't). Baffert has a Lewis $180k Keeneland purchase in for $100k. I'd settle for the
difference! Again, "Hang loose!"

R3
I like GOLDEN K K here. Has been rested, ran well here last year, has worked well
since racing and gets Solis. She should be able to save ground and make a nice
mid-race move to get in the hunt. We'll see from there.

R4
Any of these that try to run with DIRTY DIANA and GOLDY ROCK early had better
have oxygen waiting at the wire. DIANA can fire fresh but ROCK should be able
to park outside in the catbird seat. SUNSHINE DREAMER is another who should
get a nice trip. If they falter, LUCKY IN LOVE will be rolling late for Solis.

R5
Another maiden-claimer. I'm just going to take a little piece of OUR VALENTINO
who is fresh, working well and looks to be liking his new barn. You can make
a case for many of these.

R6
I think this one sets up for DIAMOND TIARA. She's rested and her grinding style
is a good fit for 7f. Another one where you can make a case for many.

R7
The boys in the morning with the fancy watches are buzzing about PROPOSED.
Although Julio's stats with firsters are weak, this is a much better prospect
than he's used to. The owners like to spot their homebreds where they can
win, so I don't think this is an experiment. Either single this one; or, don't use it.
MISS JANUARY should be flying early inside with Pedroza and Russell comes
down from Vallejo to ride STERLING CAT for Bonde. Decent alternatives if
you don't like the reputation filly.

R8
IMPERIAL MEASURE figures to fire from the gate with Bisono and that could
create a pace problem for EXPRESSO BAY (2-2 @ DMR) who likes it up front. If it sets up
that way then DOMINGO JUAN, MORE MODERN and CAPPUCINO KID will all
be looking for the good trip and the good late run. Best trip wins!

Add for R2

Just looked at the charts for EL PERFECTO's debut race because
I thought the splits were pretty fast. Final time: 56.29 New track record for the distance. FWIW

If you saw R1 you saw "Victor-wide" in living color. Takes the 7 in the 4-path on the turn, gets floated out into the lane and that was that. Kid won't learn!
