Putting this here in the Software section.

Been using Foxit for a long time, and while it was fine for viewing and marking up pp's, I got sick of the bugs they don't fix and the bugs they add in new versions.

So looking around, lo and behold a much better piece of free (free for most features, and those you'd need as a handicapper) software.

So far so good, nice product.

Guess everyone already knew about it from the response.

No I am still using Foxit. Which one did you download PDF-XChange Editor or PDF-XChange Editor Plus ? Thanks.

Sumatra pdf is not bad. Not too much of a "footprint".

You don't need the Plus version. This is 10x better and slicker than Foxit.

No prob. I like to set up hotkeys to change drawing tools. They are a bit buried in this software, but it's there, just so you know.

I think that it is a very solid program, but, the drawing tools not being too readily accessible, is a major drawback for me... The convenience of it..

Given that, I will stay with Foxit for my program markups...

There's no problem with the tools.

Are you having trouble setting up the hotkeys?

Yes, I am clueless about setting up hotkeys...

Oth, I like to work from the menu line on the top of the page....

I just click on the drawing to typewriter tools that I use, and, I have done it that way for a very long time...

STill, setting up hotkeys might be a viable alternative, except for the fact that I would have to remember a bunch of hotkeys, rather than just easily clicking on the specific tool on the menu bar that I need...I only need about a half dozen or so tools to get my work done..

I am open minded to anything new that would simplify my needs getting done more quickly and with less effort...

Thanks for the reply..

I don't recall exactly how the default toolbar was set up , but if you right click anywhere on the toolbar and select COMMENTING (should be the first option, all the drawing tools will appear.

This works just like Foxit in most respects, except its more powerful and a lot slicker.
