Not a lot of facts in yet but it appears the MO is identical to the Brussels airport attack that occurred in an unsecured area. We'll have to wait and see...

been switching from fox to cnn and back

Fox is so far ahead of cnn on this thing. Fox had a guy on the phone talking to shep smith after the shooting (minutes ago), he reported more shots a moment ago, authorities tells everyone in the garage to stay down and don't move...chaos, lot of people running on camera in other parts of the airport

flip to cnn, a newswoman says "i don't know what's going on,people are running"

cnn is behind the curve here

Might be more than one shooter.

Daily Beast is reporting the shooter (esteban santiago) has some minor criminal records on file in Alaska the past 2 years. Nothing major

Not sure if accurate. If it is, weird stuff...

the only good thing about this is they got the terrorist. now they have to make an example of this dirty rotten scum of the earth -------. they have to keep him alive, inject him with a dose of pork, and torture him daily and make sure they keep him alive. use him for a good example and start hunting down more of these rats. you can never allow a guy like this to make it upstairs to be with Allah.

Thus far there's been no connection between this Hispanic shooter and Islam.

different MO

flew in from Anchorage, through Minneapolis/StPaul, picked up his gun in checked luggage, started shooting through 3 clips.

At this point in time, BO is all but irrelevant. I'm surprised you don't get that.

Weapons shouldn't be in luggage on an airliner. Bet that changes and if it doesn't, copycats are sure to follow now that they realize the ease in doing it. Fake ID and documents would be a starter.

Fake ID and documents would be a starter.if a guy wants to create terror it doesn't matter if the gun gets checked into the airport or he shoots people outside the airport. to stop terrorism you have to stop the terrorist before he has the chance to commit terror. there is somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 terrorist's located throughout the world. on the mainland shores of the united states there might be 5000 of them, maybe a few more after they let in the Syrian's. we need everyone to get involved to wipe out this terror.

we just elected a guy that could turn out to be a great leader. he is very sharp and i hope like hell he figures out the best way to get these bastards.

It's been that way for fifty years. Hunters, cops and concealed carriers have been checking guns forever. This guy could have walked in off the street and done the same thing. He was fifty yards from an unsecured door.

ITS NOT ABOUT THE GUNS! OR ACCESS TO THEM! ITS THE PEOPLE!

Did Obama leave the golf course and fly to Florida?
He is leaving office in a two weeks and there are still criminals in jail, still drug dealers not on the streets, still terrorists in GITMO.

You think he has time to help with all those pardons he has to make?

The governor is smart enough to know Trump is the one who will be doing the work, not Obama. And shame on you for making this political.

Why not? That's the safest place for them. They are not accessible there. If they are in luggage, no one can get to them until baggage claim, which is generally an unsecured area anyway. You don't have to go through the TSA to come in off the street to baggage.

yea blame it on the guns lol. can it get any dumber. it wasn't even in a secure area of the airport. anybody could have walked in off the street into that area and done that. but don't let the facts get in the way of an anti gun sentiment. and what the hell, the airplane was just as guilty for transporting the gun, we need to outlaw airplanes. and besides that they crash.:bang:

"Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." 8th amendment to the U.S. Constitution

Define "excessive". Define "cruel". Define "unusual".

Thus far there's been no connection between this Hispanic shooter and Islam.

And now there is, perhaps:

http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2017/01/airport-shooter-converted-islam-identified-aashiq-hammad-years-joining-army/

Information is slowly trickling out that links the Ft. Lauderdale Airport shooter to radical Islam while the official story from authorities is that the gunman is a mentally ill, Hispanic Army veteran named Esteban Santiago that became unhinged after a tour in Iraq.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/santiagos-terror-ticket-fort-lauderdale/story?id=44648391

Since the attack, investigators recovered his computer from a pawn shop, and the FBI is examining it to determine whether the alleged shooter created a jihadist identity for himself using the name Aashiq Hammad, according to officials familiar with the case.
