TVG is airing an NFL films documentary on the 1989 Breeders Cup. It is done in the classic NFL films style and quality with what sounds like John Forsythe doing the commentary.

I wasn't aware that they got into anything but football. These are very well done although probably appreciated by a limited audience. I wonder how many were done (this is the 2nd 30 min. film that has been run back to back tonite)

It would be interesting to know if these were available on tape/DVD. I may do some research.

Much as I dislike football I have to admit that NFL Films puts out a spectacular product. Would be interested in hearing what you find out.

Too bad they couldn't get Harry Kalas to narrate it.

I found some NFL DVD's in Amazon, but no mention on the web of any NFL Film publications regarding horse racing. I was hoping they had their own store on NFL.com, but nothing like that exists (at least with any horse racing material)

Bill,

You may want to check the NTRA web site. I know they sold these at one time, my father has several of them.

Kalas is good. However, John Facenda was simply the greatest.

I see they are still selling VHS, no DVD that I can find. They are $50 a year, or $700 for 1985-2002. 2003 is also available.

I would check with them if these are the ones you are talking about, details are scarce on the site.
