I have never seen before what I saw yesterday in the payouts for the winners of the first 7 races at Santa Anita. The first 7 winners had double digit payouts of $11.60, 11.00, 14.80, 33.80, 15.80, 15.80, 27.00. And the 8th race winner missed it by $ .60, $9.40. How many people had at least 3 of those winners?

A few The best I can figure there was about 25 winning tickets in the pick 5($24,998) for .50 cents

I did phenomenally well yesterday, had the P5 which I thought I was tearing up my ticket or at least in a dead heat, see the photo thread, also had the late P4, was one of my top three days gambling on the horses.

Good thing is it is back to work, may play a tourney while working Friday and then attack again Saturday

Yeah, I was actually going to post my results in that big scores thread but I couldn't find it and had other stuff to do. I was going to put the heading EMD for the day.

I'll post when I get home, it is true, have no reason to lie. Would like to discuss with others how to hold on to winnings and how to get there again. Thanks.

Are you kidding? I was being sincere. No hidden meaning... that's awesome :) no need to post it. I'm not 1 of those red board haters.

No, I wasn't accusing you, I know you know scores happen at the track. Others maybe less so, but idk not accusing anyone would just post to show ticket construction, etc

Just don't waste it back . Recognize what you did well and repeat it when the opportunity arises. Chase another one and it might be a problem.. my humble 2 cents.

Congrats on your scores at SA....If you would, post how you played the P5 and P4 tickets. Were they caveman tickets, or were they multiple combo tickets you used? What was the total cost of your plays?

BTW, it isn't that often that your handicapping methods sync up perfectly with the track set-up for opening day at any track....I will respond with comments once you've posted your ticket structures.

Great hit! Stay in the groove. Don't buy cheap claiming horses with your winnings. Surest way back to zero.

This is my P5 play, seems strange in retrospect that I used the 4 on one ticket but not the other. The reason was it was close to post time and I liked the 3 best and was putting in a second ticket. The 4, who I thought was a contender but not a yop pick for me I threw in as it was taking a lot of money and I didn't want to get blown up if the fave won.

I thought the races were fairly wide open. Love SA ad opening day and I was ready to fire away.

Thanks! I don't think I'll buy a cheap claimer but that could be fun. I'm going to pay down some debt, also have some expenses in the near future so this was a nice time to hit. May also take a vacation in late spring/early summer, maybe Europe (I haven't been there) or Pacific NW>Glacier National Park>Yellowstone>Pacific NW if I can get two weeks off and it is feasible, seems like it is.

Thanks. Sorta a Caveman play. I think SA Winter Meet is top notch and look forward to it. There was a lot of storm and stress to the day, started off with a near miss in the P5 at GP but did not have R5, long photo in 1st at SA which looked like it could go either way, a DQ in the 3rd as well.

I did use free TG data and they did have the late P4 on the analysis. I did like the Hollendorfer who has his own thread and with TG picking on top it gave another nudge to my play.

I appreciate you posting your ticket, always curious to see how people construct them. Way to go!

Around here you don't have to buy a cheap claiming horse, they are given away.

Wow! Nearly $500 wagered on just the first 5 races. That's my budget for the entire meet. LOL!
