I admire your optimism..

However, he will likely end up on a Division leader or contender before he would go to the mets..

KANSAS CITY -- The Royals acquired catcher Justin Huber from the New York Mets in a three-club trade Friday that sent pitcher Kris Benson from the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Mets.
Huber, 22, is a 6-foot-5, 190-pound right-handed hitter. He spent most of this season at Double-A Birmingham and batted .271 in 70 games and recently was promoted to Triple-A Norfolk.

He'll be assigned to Triple-A Omaha by the Royals.

The Royals triggered the trade by sending third baseman Jose Bautista to the Mets. Bautista was then packaged with infielder Ty Wigginton and minor league pitcher Matt Peterson and shipped to the Pirates in exchange for Benson and minor league infielder Jeff Keppinger.

Benson, one of the most-sought players as Saturday's trading deadline neared, had an 8-8 record and 4.22 ERA in 20 starts for the Pirates.

Bautista is a Rule 5 draft choice who returns to his original club, the Pirates. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and also played this season for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. For the Royals, he played in 13 games and hit .200 (5-for-25).

Phils are in a rut.. Still won't finish behind the Mets, thank God.

I give Bowa about a week until he's canned..

I saw Huber play last week. Decent defensive catcher, but needs work on his hitting. The opposing pitcher was 1-5, and he could barely get the bat on the ball.
