“Craig Sager was a beloved member of the Turner family for more than three decades and he has been a true inspiration to us all,” Turner President David Levy wrote in a network statement. “There will never be another Craig Sager. His incredible talent, tireless work ethic and commitment to his craft took him all over the world covering sports.

“While he will be remembered fondly for his colorful attire and the TNT sideline interviews he conducted with NBA coaches and players, it’s the determination, grace and will to live he displayed during his battle with cancer that will be his lasting impact.”

In sports.......he was one of the good guys. Self effacing, professional and a great sense of humor.

Mostly known for basketball coverage. Long battle with cancer.

He had a touch of Heywood Hale Broun in him

Do a google image search and you'll get it

Was fascinating to hear he slept in the stall with Seattle Slew before the Belmont.

Purple or pink, no doubt. Maybe bright blue. RIP one of the great interviewers of the game (NBA)

A guy like Sager should never die. Seemed to love life and what he did for a living and made everyone around him happy. Great post game interview from Popovich on Craig. Pops was pretty shook up. Loved the Slew article, did not know about that one. RIP Mr. 'bigger than life' Sager.
