I was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts and currently live in one of its suburbs.When I told people who weren't that familiar with my hometown, I would say "it's the birthplace of basketball, Dr. Seuss and Smith and Wesson.".Now I'll have to drop the third part. :) God, what a blah, generic name.
Drove by their headquarters and factory every day the last 22 years I taught school.Set quite a ways back from the avenue it's on.

I wondered how they could think it good to change such an iconic name, so read the article. The firearm division will still be S&W, so they didn't lose their minds after all. I don't know what other products they have, but can understand if they think S&W isn't fitting for camp cooking utensils.
