It seems a horse Box Office got disqualified but NYRA made payouts across the board and exotics as if there was no disqualification.

http://www.equibase.com/premium/chartEmb.cfm?track=AQU&raceDate=12/04/2015&cy=USA&rn=4

Do they payout on certain disqualifications?

It's just a real mess programmatically to award the payout to the winner but not credit him for the win and then to adjust the other Trainers in that race for 1st, 2nd, etc.

It just goes to show you never really can have a plan in place for these types of scenarios

Probably got disqualified weeks or months later for a medication violation or some other violation, when that happens, they go back into the chart and add the 'dq' so this was a dq that happened at a later date, not on the day when the official prices were put up.

This ruling was listed in the official equibase chart at the bottom:

In a ruling by order of the NYRA Board of Stewards, both BOX OFFICE and HEAR THE FOOTSTEPS were disqualified and unplaced in the order of finish. BOX OFFICE was disqualified for improper practice having given another licensed trainer who had a different horse in this same race a fifty percent share of any purses won. HEAR THE FOOTSTEPS was disqualified for improperly competing in a race where there existed an improper interest in another horse while not the trainer of record.

Thanks Easy

I guess they didn't "know" about the deals until after the race was run

I will have to deal with the data somehow
