It's so delicious. Sorry to pile on, but these people brought all this on themselves. As Obama's preacher once said, "anti-Trumpster chickens, are coming home, TO ROOST!"

All I'm reading right now is article after article of all these idiots who thought a Trump victory had zero chance of happening. The hand wringing and the lashing out has been more than satisfying. Thank you for making my morning almost as pleasant as last night.

Yeah I don't know how excited I am for his Presidency but I sure as hell am enjoying the sight of bubbles bursting and falling to the ground almost everywhere. Watching the Today Show wondering how many hours went into making victory vignettes for Trump vs. those made for Clinton. They probably had a month's worth of material ready to cue until the results came in and they had to get crackin' on enough video to make it through the morning.

Ditto.

Somewhat buried in all the hoopla is that the GOP retains control of the House and Senate. All in all, I see the election as a repudiation of the Obama regime. The death spiral of the Obama legacy begins today.

At the same time, Congress looks like the same old GOP establishment, and I doubt that they will be falling all over themselves to give Trump what he wants. The Senate will be 51-49 Republican, and I have seen no trend toward new leadership there. The House is 238-191. Lots of recent rumors about whether Paul Ryan will remain Speaker, or if he even wants to.

Trump isn't going to find it easy working with Congress. He probably be better off holding back and letting Pence take the lead on any legislative efforts. But I don't know if his ego would allow that.

The trend has been clear since 2010 at the grass roots level. Obama managed to rise above it based solely on personality politics. The elites mistook that for reality.

But then this election was greatly influenced by personality too. Trump's is arrogant and Hillary doesn't have one.

Great minds think alike...well at least sometimes. ;) But I agree totally with you. It will be an uphill battle for Trump. As I wrote earlier on another thread, the Beltway Establishment on both sides of the aisle already resents him greatly. They will view Trump as a rank political amateur, a neophyte outsider and a trouble-maker who has come to DC to demolish their house of cards.

Inertia is the driving force in Washington. Ronald Reagan came in thinking that he could clean house and got educated. Obama thought he could put an end to "politics as usual" and never did figure it out. Trump is as naive and egotistical as Obama and has no where near the leadership ability of Reagan. Life will go on as usual.

As was repeated ad nauseam on TV last night, the driving force behind Trump's victory was the "undereducated" white voter...who is having a hard time with the economic restraints that he finds himself in. The salaries for the "undereducated" have stagnated when compared to the rate of inflation for many years now...and a great many people are hurting out there. How these people embraced the message of a high-flying billionaire, who was born and raised in luxury...is something that I'll never understand.

Maybe, if they were "better educated"... :)

The snowflakes at high schools and universities are apparently melting like the ice in a men's room urinal.

Across the country, universities and even a few high schools organized post-election civil disobedience of a different sort. Some teachers sent notes to students postponing tests and offering support. Student unions offered sessions of meditation, discussions and tea.

"The nation in which you currently reside decided last night to elect a president whose own words have painted him a moral and possibly physical hazard to many of us," University of Maryland professor Alan Peel wrote to students, postponing all assessments. "I debated whether to press on today in the spirit of re-establishing normalcy, but have come to realize that my position and my background may have afforded me the privilege to do so. Others may find they do not have that privilege."

"Partisan, inflammatory statements unfortunately seem to be part of modern campaign rhetoric, but they cause real wounds," Northwestern University wrote in an email to students Wednesday, reminding them to notify professors if they need to miss class. The email directed students to the campus Multicultural Center, the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center and The Black House, a gathering place for the university's black community. Throughout the day the campus hosted a “What’s Your Reaction” event for students to express themselves by drawing pictures. They even provided the paper, markers and snacks.

The University of California, Berkeley created safe spaces for minority students, and for those who might be illegal immigrants. There are also special "healing spaces" for women and those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.

"Be gentle with yourselves and take care of each other," according to an email sent to Berkeley students from four of the university's vice chancellors and others. "We know that the results of yesterday's election have sparked fear and concern among many in our community.

At the University of Vermont, administrators voiced a similar sentiment.

"This is a challenging time for many of our colleagues and students, who may be feeling isolated and concerned for personal welfare," UVM president Tom Sullivan wrote in an email to the university community, offering time for tea and reflections, meditations and structured discussion.

The Boston Latin School, a high school in Boston, offered a support team of guidance counselors, clinicians, and nurses after school Wednesday and before school Thursday for students who need support, according to an email sent to the school community.

Funny how they got a couple thousand signs printed already.

Protest in NY City tonight

And they look eerily similar to the ones hanging in Bob creamers office from the project veritas videos.

...And speaking of which...has anyone ever wondered why all these talking heads, celebs, etc. keep threatening to move to Canada? I haven't heard or read about so much as one of them wanting to spend quality time with our mighty fine neighbors to the south. Instead...they want to move up to mostly white Canada? Does anyone detect a little racism here?

Good point. Kind of like when filling out the Federal form for purchasing a firearm, and you have to answer these two questions:

- Hispanic - yes or no
- Race - Black, Hispanic, Asian,....White

Things that make you go hmmmm.....

These people will be kissing Trump's ring at some point just like Clevelanders were kissing Lebron's ring when he brought one to them (yeah, they burned his jersey too)
