For me, I think it would be Dutch Connection in the Mile. This horse has been pointed for the race for a long time. He was one of the top milers in Europe in 2015 and came over to Kee for the Shadwell with the intention of sticking around for the BC. The course was a bog for the Shadwell, and something went wrong and Dutch Connection was done for the year. But again this year, the connections have stated the primary objective was the BC Mile. The horse seems to clearly prefer a firm course, which he should get. He's inconsistent, which should drive the odds way up. But when he's on, like in the Lennox Stakes when he got a 124 Timeform while in hand late, he's very good. He will have to beat Tepin, who seems to be over the top, as well as Ironicus, who ran a great race in the 2016 Shadwell, as well as top Euros Limato and Alice Springs. Limato is an unknown beyond 7f, although the way he won the Prix de la Foret, it looks like a mile shouldn't be a problem.
