Day 2 after a so-so day on Friday. Here they are...my picks for Saturday's races at Santa Anita. I'll list them race by race and then list my bets at the end of post. Good luck.
Race -1 The :1: The half of the uncoupled Ward entries in here that looks to have the ability to close in here. Wide open race going 5 deep in the pick 3. :1: :3: :9: :10: :4:
Race -2 The :4: Going to single this one in here for Miller. Pick 3 Horse: :4:
Race -3 The :1: . 10-1 ML shot tries the turf for the 1st time today, an 18% Mandella training angle. Highest last race Bris figure and the trainer hits at 30% 3rd time off the layoff. Pick 3 Horses: :1: :13: :2: :9:
Race -4 The :5: Runaway winner of the Spinaway when last seen at Saratoga. Has the look of a runner for the Pletcher Barn. Going deep here in the pick 3. Pick 3 Horses: :5: :2: :3: :4: :9:
Race -5 The :3: . Multiple Group 1 winner overseas for O-Brien. Gets Lasix for the 1st time, an 18% trainer angle. The one to beat. Pick 3 Horses: :3: :8: :11:
Race -6 The :7: Mike smith rides here after riding Drefong last out. Ellis 31% off the layoff. Will be flying from the bell. Pick 3 Horses: :7: :2: :5:
Race -7 The :3: 12-1 ML shot won the G3 Woodward at Keeneland off the ship in last out. Beat Lady Shipman in this race last year so the talent is here to take this. Pick 3 Horses: :3: :9: :2: :8:
Race -8 The :6: . Undefeated in 5 efforts against lesser at GP. Been working lights out for this. Handles the class test at a price today. Pick 3 Horses: :6: :5: :2:
Race -9 The :10: & :12: . Aiden O-Brien runners ran 1-2 two races back overseas. Today they take on Flintshire. Should be a great race. Pick 3 Horses: :10: :12: :4:
Race -10 The :2: Can't argue with what this one's done the last 3 races including the win in the G1 Ballerina last out. Freshened for this by 18% layoff trainer. Pick 3 Runners: :2: :3: :6:
Race -11 The :10: Has the look of a runner with multiple G1 wins over there. Don't know much about the connections, but this one has some talent. Pick 3 Horses: :10: :2: :8:
Race -12 The :10: Baffert with maybe his best horse at his home track in the biggest race of this year. I've read this book before, springs the mild upset. Pick 3 runners: :10: :4:
