That's 1-9 in racetrack parlance.

For those mental midgets (like Harry Reid) who said that the FBI is trying to influence the election by reporting the truth so close to the election, the same would be true if the FBI chose to withhold the truth so close to the election.

lots of nonsense going on in this election. i have never heard of a bookmaker paying off on a bet before the outcome becomes official.

i follow thegreek.com. they are the Hertz of the united states election betting business. the other 2 very reputable's in that field are BETCRIS and PINNACLE.

other than those i don't really pay attention to which include Nat Silver, public polls or other bookmakers.

Paddy Power has done it before several times. They made early payouts on Obama in 2012. It's a publicity stunt and they have the bets hedged. They probably figure it is cheap advertising.

I disagree with your interpretation.

I feel 90% of the bettors agree that the current line on Trump is an overlay, and deserving of a bet - not that trump is going to win.

It would be similar to you handicapping a race and you consider it a toss-up between the top 2 -> do you bet the 3/5 or the 3/1?
