That new turf course is fast! 1:31.69 and three horses were right there at the wire.

Blazing fast my man. Excuse my numbers in the original post, a ton of green and wine last night

Obviously is obviously one the top energy horses we have on the turf. He ran a huge, huge race. Almost overcame the trip.

Vyjack ran a good race. His effort wasn't equivalent to the final time festivities, but it was a good effort. Passable for grade 1 in our turf races.

You can imagine that he's a very fun project for D'Amato. This is a big talented horse who showed a lot of capacity for energy while running into the teeth of the grain in the Kentucky Derby, and then passed to another HOF trainer (was it Mott?) to learn how to be a turf horse.

Circumstance, necessity, and lucid strategy worked out well for the trainer to have a late-running insurance policy for the possibility of Obviously having to use a ton of energy.

Terrible ride by Stevens. Moves too soon on the 4 and effectively collapses the race for the winner while gutting his horse.

He probably would have won had he waited another 1/16 or 1/8 mile to move.
