7-7-7 late pick 3 yesterday at GGF. Jackpot!

And of course, Union Strike won on Labor Day weekend at Del Mar.

If i had bet that combo and hit it, I would probably donate the payoff to some kind of 9/11 victims fund.
As a person who not only grew up in the NY Metro area,.. I also had watched the WTC being built and had to be in the buildings for work on many occasions. That day really hit home for me. Still does.
Anyway.

Hard to feel sorry for anyone that hit it, as it paid well and there's no other way they would have had that number.

But at 600 it was only 50% or less of what it would have paid on any other day.

Quite a few hunch players out there.

One year, a plug named Be Thankful ran in the first race at Hollywood Park on Thanksgiving Day. He should have been at least 10 to 1, and went off at 7-2 and ran up the track.

The exacta for the first Kentucky Derby ran after the 9-11 horror (The 2002 KD) was War Emblem-Proud Citizen. My brother-in-law pointed it out after the race and was disappointed he didn't play it. He's into stuff like that.

Apropos of that 9/11 exacta at Belmont yesterday, I couldn't help noticing that the $.10 superfecta payoff was eerily close to the number of victims on 9/11 - $2,900+.
