John Saunders - ESPN Announcer

Shocking - just saw this while watching some morning sports talk TV.
Not sure what the cause is, but Saunders has passed away.

Hosted the SportsReporters on Sunday mornings for many years. He joined the network in 1986.

I saw the word 'sudden', so I assume heart attack.

Reports are congestive heart failure. Very sad. I remember him being an anchor in Baltimore as a teenager. He certainly made it a long way from that gig. Great dude.

The first time I saw him on Espn , I bragged to my buddies that he used to be a sports anchor in Baltimore.

He had sounded kind of weak and scratchy for at least a year, but I guess that's unrelated? Too bad, he seemed like a very decent, well-balanced guy.

Never saw anyone with a bad word for the man. I was shocked to hear the sad news.
