Canseco was the starting pitcher today for the independent Pittsbuurg Diamonds.

He pitched pretty well. 4.1 innings. 2 earned runs. Left with the lead.

The Diamonds would give up 6 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th eventually losing their 11th of 12 games 10-5 to Sonoma.

Just after he came out he signed autographs for about 30 minutes then came on the broadcast.

IIRC, when Canseco was with the Red Sox, he went in to pitch the ninth inning of a blowout and ended up missing a few weeks because he hurt his back pitching.

Edit Canseco was with Texas and it was against the Red Sox.Canseco ended up hurting his arm so badly, he needed Tommy John surgery and missed the rest of the season.
