Nice score Saturday @ SAR for two pick6 players each taking down $106,000. Seems a rich amount considering the sequence had 3 winning favorites and a 3-1 2nd-favorite. Admittedly including the $112 horse winning the G1 Test took some doing but the other price horse was a 6-1 4th choice, not that much of a stretch.
I play the Pick6 only occasionally and usually just on carryover days with big pools. But the pool size Saturday ($335,000 even with NO carryover) is a reminder that on certain days the pool is large enough you should be in if you’ve got a big price horse or two you’re willing to lean on.
