I gotta post this, I'm after the "fleeting accolades" right?

The bots nailed the 14th race on betting Pick 1 W/P/S :jump:

My picks stunk and I finished last in Frank's playoffs....

Was looking for websites that give results for harness and found some but they don't say what the denomination wager is for the payout?
I assume it is payout for $2 wager, and this is correct for exotics exacta trifecta but is it different for super? Is payout for super a dime or twenty cent wager? It doesn't indicate. Do any of the result websites indicate this? Which sites are best for harness results and chart archives?

Harness racing has always been a different animal for me but I'm thinking about taking the plunge now...In my own mind, with all of its bias, I have always thought of Harness Racing as T-bred's somewhat shady stepsister.

I know this IS a different world...and I'm coming in cold with only a normal amount of knowledge about how this game is run...I'm SURE there a many things that I am not aware of...BUT would be interested in hearing about...one of the topics is "class relief" and drivers purposely not performing in order to get some much needed class relief...

...I am not suggesting sinister motives nor do I enjoy talking about less than admirable racetrack realities..these types of conversations are IMO not very productive regardless of how people feel about bad behavior in racing...it's not that I am a less than 100 percent moral person myself, its just that I'm kind of jaded to the topic, and I assume it is part of the game and is very unlikely to change....

Racing is very absorbing for me and I like it that way...it is very distracting to dwell on how Joe got one up on everyone, and I prefer not to go there in my discussions with fellow fans...

So are there any threads you can suggest that would get me up to speed on Harness?

Robot 1 is the program I've been using regularly here.

Bot2 is that experimental bot I tested in this thread

VigorsTheGrey, Welcome to the dark side

Harness results that are in a standard format are a Bit*h to find. Some sites don't list scratches, some don't tell you the $ base. Some are limited in the tracks available. Many require an account and a log-in.

The Racing Channel was best but they closed their web page recently. Here are 3 other no-accounts (pun intended) to check out.

http://www.trackinfo.com/

http://buildabet.usofftrack.com/ ...classic page

https://classic.ebetusa.com/ebetusa/results_archive

I guess ebet is best, has scratches and all results to the dollar.

As for good threads here,

Pandy's posts here have good leads to his articles at DRF and he has written some good books.

You may want to search for lottacash threads here, used to be some good discussions.

Thank you Ray for the websites...with these I can get to the info for the results/ base wagers...real useful sites...

In Harness, the odds for the runners seem a little different than T-breds with many more heavy favorites and MANY MORE long prices horses...this works fine for what I'm doing...Does harness have a higher favorite win rate than T-bred or does it vary from track to track, meeting to meeting?

I'm not too familiar with T-Bred stats but I'd guess Harness does have a higher win rate for favorites when comparing same field sizes.

You can get a look at the % winning favorites at the USTA web site, click on Track Statistics tab, Post Positions Stats.

TM is TrackMaster ratings for speed and class.

I consider a change of +or- 3 points from the previous race this horse was in to be a class change.

That last factor, "last race shows early speed" is becoming the most important nowadays. Look for a consistent position (on lead or 2nd ,3rd ,4th) at the half pole in the pplines. If the animal can't be close then only an inside draw will help him get there.
