Is it a WINS early double. WINS 1010 New York. Yes, my tepid nod goes to the outside horse named for a hockey Hall of Famer, :10: Chelios. This Distorted Humor-bred bay gelding was claimed out of his last race; he’s now trained by the most capable conditioner, Michelle Nevin. Nevin does particularly well with horses making their first start after a claim. She also does well with horses entered in sprints. This Forty Niner-bred 5 year old is cutting back one panel off his last effort, that should help. A sharp recent work signals readiness. Jose Ortiz is in the irons. Others: :8: , :4: , :7:

:10: Enstone is my pick in this MSW turf route. This 2 year-old filly is stretching out; yet, I feel she can handle the added distance of ground. 2 Homespun Hero could be “sitting the trip”. There’s a whole lotta speed up front. The best in business when it comes to a patient ride is Javy Castellano. If Senor Castellano times it just right, it should lead to a visit to the winner’s circle. Yes, this Hard Spun-bred chestnut colt has been away from the races for more than two months; yet, his morning work-tab has been good. Trainer Barclay Tagg does well with sprint races. This grandson of Danzig is dropping in company from a non-graded stake. Others: 4, 6, 1
