Any chance Songbird actually goes off at 4/5? :D

Speed has not been good and the rail has not been good so far this young meet.

Graveyard of favs, I'll take the 2. Why not? 1/9 is short for any horse.

I'll take 7/2 on Carina Mia &

I can see a scanrio where the 2 cooks the 1 and a bomb gets up. 45/12/145 TRI

needless to say, over $200K to place on Songbird

Carina Mia will probably start as speed duel with Songbird

other 3 to place seem to be good bridgejumper bets

We shall see how the pace plays out, that last 1/16 to 1/8 could be tough for the front runners.

Weep No More & Mo d'Amour have the pedigree and experience going long - they will be coming.

Songbird has the chance to show her stuff right here as they approach the starting gate.

She earned my respect today, took a HIT and won the battle. Impressive.

Nice to see a real old school battle between two runners like that.

That was fun to watch. Songbird, wow. It's not easy to cut the pace like that going long over the tiring Spa strip.

Am I the only one who would have been far more impressed with Songbird's effort had Carina Mia finished dead last?

Wow... She still hasn't even been tested, all it took was a slight brush of the whip from Mike Smith and she pulled away. I would say it is time for her to take on the boys!

In the post race interview, Jerry said the 1 1/4 Alabama was next F3YO.

(And did Maggie tower over those two while doing the interview.)

Now all you New Yorkers are getting to share in what we've been watching in California for a year now. She's a good one.

This isn't 1958. We've all seen her.

122 TimeformUS Speed Figure for Songbird, career best. She had run a 120 a few races back.

Color me incorrect, I thought Carina Mia would pull the upset and voted as such. Glad it was a safe race; I look forward to Songbird's next start.

I don't think we've seen her best yet. It looked to me like there is still some more in the tank if required.
