I wasn't even going to bet today. Didn't even buy a Form. But I did see two "betbacks" on the card today.
4th- DON MANUEL-got caught up dueling a Lukas stakes dropper in his last. They were about 8 lengths clear of the rest of the field, running the first sub :44 half in years at AP. The Lukas horse tired very badly while Don Manuel held on for a solid 2nd, finally getting passed by the heavy chalk. The 6-1 in the program is laughable.
5th-CROSSFIELD-good barn doesn't send out too many but they are always ready to win. This horse was 4 wide on the first turn last out and still managed to run 2nd. Probably won't pay any more than $5.20 to win.
