Does anyone know what specifically depressed her so much?

Was it more than the horse? (other horses breaking down, mom's passing? etc.)

It doesn't matter but I guess I just want her pain to at least be specifically acknowledged. (Out of respect to her travails).

Days layer, still heartbreaking.

Every single comment I have read about her is heartbraking. A great soul, horse lover and good person. Terrible :(

she probably had an underlying depression issue before this. as someone who was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder sixteen years ago, nobody but your spouse usually knows. It's a crappy battle. And a severe incident like loosing that horse can be too much to deal with.
