A new page opened up and said Urgent Firefox Update. It looked real like it came from Firefox. I clicked download and McAfee or something said whoa this looks dangerous. I Googled and this is apparently malware and should be avoided. I know better but got lucky this time.

Good Catch!

My Anti-Virus Program, ESET has twice asked me to authorize blocking this which naturally I have done.

ESET. My sister in law got a notice on Facebook from ESET said she had malware and couldn't t log on until she downloaded a scan from them I thought it was scam. Good to know ESET is legit.

I downloaded it. I can't get rid of it. Hitman Pro identifies it but can't clean it. Any ideas?

1. Boot a live CD/USB (or live USB) that has an antivirus program.

2. Do an antivirus scan/fix.

3. Back up all of your clean data.

4. Reboot your internal OS.
