1) In case anyone is wondering how to structure a Quinella bet with 2 Key entries and 4 others (K1-K2 W/ A-B-C-D ) do the following:
K1/K2, K1/A, K1/B, K1/C, K1/D & K2/A, K2/B, K2/C, K2/D =
(9) Bets ($2 denominations or higher).

2) Because many of the Quinellas offer really good value it’s sometime even worthwhile (when the overall odds of the selected entries are reasonably high) to simply play all of the Quinella combinations for all 6 picks: A-B-C-D-E-F
A w/B-C-D-E-F…. B w/C-D-E-F….C w/D-E-F….D w/E-F…..E w/F =
(15) Bets ($2 denominations or higher).

Either of these same structures above can be used with the Quinella/Place bet which means:
1a) If either Key finishes 1st , 2nd , or 3rd and any of others finish in-the-money with them you can potentially win 1 or all 3 Q/P bets or,
2a) If any of the (15) Quinellas chosen are used in the Quinella/Place bet you can also potentially win 1 or all 3 Q/P bets.


3) Structuring a Triple is a bit more expensive, but if the value is there then try the following with (K1-K2 W/ A-B-C-D ):
K1 / K2-A-B-C-D / K2-A-B-C-D = 20 Bets w/K1 as the Winner
K2-A-B-C-D / K1 / K2-A-B-C-D = 20 Bets w/K1 as the Placer
K2-A-B-C-D / K2-A-B-C-D / K1 = 20 Bets w/K1 in for Show (use only if value is there)
If you repeat this structure with K2 for Win & Place with the others it’ll be 80 Bets, but there’s potential to hit the Triple 2X if both are in the money.

Race 1 :1: Good Method (5-2) Winless after 21 races and breaks from gate 12 in a short run to the turn.
Race 2 :8: Enchanting Diamond (9-2) Also winless after 21 races.

Races with runners coming out of key races (multiple winners that have come back out of those races and won at or higher class than today's).
Race 2 :3: Innovative Winner (17-1) Race 528, winner, 4th and 11th place runners won next out.
Race 2 :7: Cool Pal (12-1) Race 602, 1st, 8th and 11th won.

Horses off my watch list:
Race 5 :7: Namjong Invincible (7-2) Taken back from wide, raced rear rank 1 off, in traffic off home turn, snatched off heels 380m, shaken up 250m, quickened but bumped 140m, just failed.

Race 6 :3: Superior Boy (4-1) Rolled forward into box-seat, held up most straight until 150M, closed off well in final stages.

Race 8 :2: Dashing Fellow (7-1) Went forward, crossed to the lead 1000M and soon pressed by rival, continued on strongly entering straight, put up a good fight just narrowly failed to hold off winner.

Race 11 :8: Hammer King (21-1) Bounced well, racing inside leading trio before over-racing from 900m when leader crossed to rail. Got clear run passing 350m, kept on well to line.

I watch NYRA and their 4 to 5 horses scratched out of each race, California with 5 to 6 horse fields. Evening Gents. An end to the season, so a bit sad, but at least the premium summer meets in the U.S. will help. Partial to Ellis myself. Also, for atmosphere, nothing beats Keeneland, but I'm slanted since I lived in Lexington for a couple of years.

Race 2: Looks wide open, so looked at the tote for guidance. Going with the :12: now that the :8: is scratched. The :5: horse is getting bet, after being 99+ to 1 his last four starts, but I didn't think he looked that good on the track.

Usually the bonus is called an "HAB". As a handicapping tool, I haven't noticed the bonuses being worth much consideration, in spite of the horse being "pointed" for the race. IMHO.
