For all the posters who like playing against big favorites today was your day. Down in flames went the following nine favorites. Hope some people on this site made out like bandits.

The pick six was not hit. Five of six paid 32,000 and change. Amazing thing was that the biggest winner was only 25.20 and the six races had three races with six horses and three races with 7 horses. Surprised nobody hit the pick six with such short fields and no bomb. Mandatory payout tomorrow.

Not that surprising. Many pick six players structure their tickets with a couple of singled favorites or two deep races, while they spread others. So a card where all the favorites run out will automatically eliminate most tickets even if the winners are not big longshots.

In contrast, a single 40 to 1 shot doesn't necessarily cause a carryover, especially if it is in a race people are spreading.

There's huge implications for this and how you should play the pick six. From a betting value standpoint, the single biggest thing you can do is beat a big favorite, even with a 7 to 2 shot.

Odd. not one favorite won with the largest number of horses going to post was 7 ( twice) ...In the money 4 seconds and a third in 9 races.
BTW, did California run out of horses? 56 went to post ....Jeez...What the heck is going on out there?....Oh , I am aware the turf course is closed.
