When a player declares for the NBA draft, he has NO control over who drafts him.Of course he can decline to play but he can't go back and play in college.He could go overseas but the drafting team holds his rights in perpetuity.Since he in effect doesn't have a choice of employers for his first several years, when he has an opportunity to , in effect, choose where he wants to work, he should take it.I don't think "heart" has anything to do with it.

And Westbrook is going to leave for Los Angeles as soon as next season is over, KD or no KD.Will he then also lack "heart"?

Whether Westbrook leaves or stays, it won't change that is clearly a more fierce competitor and has more heart on the court than Durant does. I've watched them both play for eight years and it isn't close.

Gsw was the most efficient team ever. Durant does not improve that. What he adds is a weapon to overpower situations when efficient isn't enough.

In Seattle, we say that this is karma. We lose a team, OKC loses a star. I'm not sure I agree with this as karma is still working against us as we try to get a team. In my opinion, Golden State has too many of the same type of player; guys who want to shoot the three. They will be a nightmare to defend on the perimeter, but will they have enough to get another title? Will this move have an adverse effect on Draymond Green?

NBA cannot possibly think this is good for the Sport. We just had probably the best season we have had in countless years, with the Warriors/Thunder and Warriors/Cavs both incredible series' and now overnight the league just became completely uninteresting. Durant to GS, Gasol to the Spurs, I assume next up will be Wade going to Cleveland. Before the season starts, barring major injury we now will know in advance, GS beats SA in the Western Conference Finals, Cleveland will cake walk again through the East. At this point why bother with the 82 games and any of the early rounds of the playoffs. They now have a 3 team league. Thrilling. NBA now completely sucks. May as well watch the Harlem Globetrotters. The games will be equal in suspense. I have to follow the NBA because I bet on it, but other than that, see no need to even turn on the tv set next season. Season will be that uninteresting.

So how many teams have even the remotest chance to fight for the championship next seasons? OKC is obviously out of the picture. We give the Spurs a small chance of winning the West and nobody can beat the Cavs in the East if Lebron stays healthy.

The trend of jumping on the hot ticket team by superstars in the past few yrs has turned me off. Not that I blame them, they have to look out for themselves & it's a free country. They can do as they wish....But I have to look at it from my point of view. I'm a lot less interested now in the nba than I've ever been.

I'm committed to season tickets for next season because that is what the NBA makes you do. We'll see how this year goes before renewal time next year. I'm sure I'll sell a lot more this year than in prior years. I also doubt I'll watch much at all.

I would say Green is as adaptable as anybody on the team. I think Steph and Klay will have to get used to their production dropping a bit.
