Vulnerable favourites:
Race 2 :2: Fantastico (7-2) Only 2 for 37 lifetime and is coming out of a weak Class 4 race. Not a great post for the distance and his running style.
Race 5 :3: Royal Partner (9-2) 3 for 56 in Hong Kong and draws a bad post.
Race 7 :12: Apache Spirit (4-1) Had to get to his bottom last out against Class 4 now is up to the next level.

Horses coming out of key races:
Race 2 :9: Invisible (13-1) Race 641: 2nd, 4th and 10th place runners won next time out.
Race 7 :4: Dilly (20-1) Race 667: 2nd, 6th,7th and 11th place finishers came back to win, with 3 other runners finishing second in their next race.

Horses off my watch list:
Race 8 :3: So Caffe (2-1) Jumped fairly, taken closer to fence, settling toward rear while chasing an eventual quitter. Improved position slightly 850m, taken to centre track on straightening and let down strongly to miss narrowly. Beaten by a favourite who had a significant weight advantage. Race 704
Race 8 :5: Little Island (15-1) At the 300M raced tight. Approaching and passing the 200M again raced tight when improving into narrow running. Over the concluding stages again raced tight and bumped a runner - Race 685.

Longshots:
Race 1 :2: Winning King (10-1)
Race 2 :5: London Master (13-1)
Race 4 :5: Optimism (14-1)
Race 5 :1: Vara Pearl (11-1)
Race 7 :2: All Win Boy (12-1) and :6: Mr Right (18-1)
Race 8 :2: King Of Mongolia (15-1) and :5: Little Island (15-1)

Race 1 Class 4 1200 Metres (6 furlongs)

:2: Winning King (10-1) Had no excuse not to win in his last, had the pace and a strong bias going his way and was just outrun by the eventual winner. Has performed well at the Valley in his past, not all that keen on his draw but do like the odds at the moment.

Race 2 Class 4 1000 Metres (5 furlongs)

:5: London Master (13-1) Was wide and was involved in a very fast pace while running with the bias, was placed on the vet's list after having a respiratory issue in the race. Gets a much better draw and hopefully the front running bias will carry him farther. Obviously didn't care too much for the dirt in the 2 previous races before his last.

Race 3 Class 3 1000 Metres (5 furlongs)

:1: Diego Kosta (5-2) My 1st key horse of the night, even with the way the track is running should get a lot of early pace for him to close off in the stretch. A little worried he's never raced at the Valley but should outclass this small field.

Race 4 Class 5 1200 Metres (6 furlongs)

Nothing is coming to me in this race. Just making an entertainment play on the leading connections.
:3: Giddy Giddy (13-1) for John Size, beaten by a favourite (#5 in here) who had a much better trip, dueled on a closing track.
:5: Optimism (20-1) on a Joe Moreira ride. Beat a tiring front runner and a weak class 5 field after sitting behind a speed duel on a closing track.

That was a tough beat, looked like a winner at the 100 metres.

Race 5 Class 4 1650 Metres (1 mile & 27 yards)

:1: Vara Pearl (6-1) My 2nd key play of the meeting. Going with another Moreira ride, was very wide in his last and beaten by a runner who had a horrible trip. Catches a field that none of them like to win. Need some pace help though with how the track is favouring at the moment.

Playing Doubles in the last 2 races, can't really separate the 2 fields but with some prices in there have decided to play them that way. Going try and beat the chalk in the 7th, had to really go all out against Class 4 in his last and now is moving up in class.

:2: :4: :6: :8: With :2: :3: :5: :7: in the 8th race.

Extra doubles :2: :6: with :2:

Race 8 Class 3 1650 Metres ( 1 mile & 27 yards)

:2: King Of Mongolia (11-1) was on my watch list 2 races back, was just outrun in his last, pretty much a play on the price.

Have 2 off their last races that are on my watch list:
:3: So Caffe (9-5) Chased quitter, outrun by a rival who had an easier trip and had a weight advantage.
:5: Little Island (22-1) Blocked then refused to split, not asked afterwards.

:2: Over :3: :5: :7: Over :1: :4: :6: :12:

Tough race
