How is that possible? You can only leave a maximum of 3 men per inning. So the most you can have in a 9 inning game is 27.......

They left 14 on. The 35 is the sum of individual batter LOB. Not sure why they bother to add it up.

What does what you wrote have to do with that statistic???

I think my initial post was misleading.. As Bill mentioned, that is a sum of the men LOB.. But I still think it's a record.. Will know tomorrow morning

Sal.........we are talking about two different stats then.

I realize that after reading the rest of the thread, posted after my post. I am with Bill on what relevence the stat has? but I watch the Reds leave a ton on every night. Pisses me off to the high heaven. I was wondering if you were counting those type (my post) in your stat.

Not sure it is a record, but it is a ton of possible runs left "sitting on the pond"

Whoever did the stats for the Boston home gane screwed up. Or else Ortiz was LOB 12 times.
