1. Does the -22 represent 22 1/5ths of a second?
2. Are you required to take off 22 5ths of second (4.2 secs) from the final time of the race to get to the real final time?

I use their DTV numbers as meaning tenths of a second, so -22 would mean the surface is running 2-1/5 seconds fast compared to TM track par time.
The range is roughly -25 to +25 but anything higher than -2 is usually listed as "GD" or "SY"
Charlie and I both sent emails to TM once. Here is the thread.
Problem is the Variant applies to their speed ratings and not the race final times.
(not sure of this and TM is vague in their response)
